A Tribute to Savitri Bai Phule – The First female Teacher of India & a Social Reformer
My cordial tribute to Savitri Bai Phule. She has been the source of women empowerment and has contributed a lot in the field of ‘Girls’ Education’. I intensely regard her efforts and courage as she dedicated her whole life for education, social consciousness and women empowerment. She is one of the most important feminist icon who paved the way for the education that the women are getting today.
Hope that her birth anniversary today inspires us to follow her path and thus work for the welfare and the upliftment of the feeble sections of the society.
Eklavya Model Residential School in Aheri, district Gadchirolli, celebrated the day in the school premises. The students and teachers paid their tribute to the Great Reformer on her 189th birth anniversary and presented speeches and songs to recall the remarkable lady.
