Mission anandi has been started in Zilla Parishad Osmanabad in April 2023, to screen and detect early cancer in all women population in the district.
Under this mission, about 1 lakh women have been screened using VIA technique and approximately 50 patients (out of 300) were suspected of minor lesions and survical cancer have been diagnosed, along with 4 cases of breast cancer.
Under Phase-2 of the same program, new technologies have been introduced to screen and prevent survical breast and oral cancer with Naramay and Periwinkle NGOs along with implementation partner TRIF.
In the next month, village wise camps will be held to screen all 30+ women in the district.
